85/15 in your favor until you reach your annual cap, then you keep 100% of every commission for the rest of your anniversary year. Your cap starts at $15,000 and declines $1,000 a year to $10,000. That is the structure wherever you are, and it is what the calculator shows. Florida agents have the additional option of joining the Taylor Kane Group, a traditional team inside Epique: the cap is $10,000 flat and the monthly fee is $99, but TKG takes 5% of your gross commission on every deal for as long as you are on the team. That is a separate decision and never a condition of naming me as your sponsor.
$149 per month standard, or $99 if you pay annually ($99/month for Florida agents on the TKG team). There is a $99 one-time join fee and a transaction fee of 0.1% of sale price capped at $500 per deal. There is no E&O fee, desk fee, office fee, franchise fee, lead fee, mentor fee, annual fee, or education fee. If you find a cost I haven't listed, tell me — I'd want to correct this page.
You submit a change-of-broker form to the Florida DBPR, your current broker releases you, and Epique's broker accepts. It typically takes a few business days once the paperwork is in. I handle the coordination and tell you exactly what to sign and when. Other states differ slightly; the shape is the same.
In almost every case pending deals stay with your current brokerage and close there normally — your client is unaffected and you still get paid on them. Listings can often transfer with your broker's written consent, though that's their decision, not yours. If you have a large pipeline or a difficult broker, timing matters and it's the first thing we should map out together.
No. Epique does not require a minimum number of transactions to keep your license there. Certain benefits and structures — the Power Award, Power Team caps — do have production thresholds, but staying at the brokerage does not.
Yes, and without taking a referral split — buyer and seller leads from company sources, plus support for FSBO and expired campaigns, plus Facebook and Instagram advertising credit. Honest caveat: brokerage-provided leads at every company vary enormously in quality and volume by market. Treat them as a supplement, not a business plan. Ask me what they've actually looked like in South Florida and I'll tell you.
Less than the phrase 'free healthcare' suggests, so read this properly. You get free virtual direct primary care with no copay, over 1,000 generic prescriptions free, free virtual mental health visits and 24/7 virtual urgent care. That is genuinely valuable and it is free to you as an agent (dependents are roughly $20/month for the first, $5/month for each additional). But Epique states directly that this is not traditional insurance. It does not cover hospital stays, ambulance rides, MRIs or cancer care, and Epique itself advises you to keep coverage for those. Primary care is virtual; in-person visits are not covered. It is also a group benefit that ends if you leave. So: a real reduction in what you spend on routine care, and possibly a reason to look at a higher-deductible plan — but do not cancel your health insurance over it, and do not let any recruiter imply you should.
Yes — shares are awarded on six triggers: joining, your first closing, each anniversary, reaching cap, earning the Power Award, and attracting an agent. There's also a discounted purchase option. Important framing: this is equity in a private company. It is not cash, it may be illiquid, and its future value is unknown. Treat it as upside, never as part of your income plan.
Yes, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. Epique is younger and much smaller than eXp, Compass or Keller Williams. It has been recognised by Fast Company for innovation and by RealTrends as a fast-growing cloud brokerage, and it's growing quickly — but growth isn't permanence. What limits your downside is that your license, database and client relationships are portable. Weigh a bounded downside against the cost-structure and equity upside, and decide clearly. I'd rather you join with your eyes open.
It's a fair concern. A cloud brokerage gives you infrastructure, not a person — the person is your sponsor and your team. That's exactly why the sponsor choice matters more here than at a franchise with a managing broker down the hall. Test me before you join: text (561) 414-1577 and see how long I take.
First, the team is Florida only — everywhere else, joining Epique with me as your sponsor is the whole offer, and it is the same offer. In Florida, the team means a $10,000 cap from day one instead of $15,000 and $99/month instead of $149, because TKG is a traditional team under Epique's published structures. In exchange TKG takes 5% of your gross commission on every deal, from the first one, for as long as you are on the team. Told plainly: for most producing agents that 5% comes to more than the lower cap and monthly fee save, so the team costs money rather than making it. What it buys is the name, the branding, a written 30-day plan, hands-on CRM and campaign setup, contract review, a standing weekly call and my cell number. Whether that is worth it is your judgement. The sponsorship, the onboarding and the support are yours either way.
Yes. Epique is licensed across much of the country and I sponsor agents anywhere it operates — you don't need to be anywhere near South Florida. Everything I commit to travels: the 30-day plan, walking you through the CRM and campaign setup, the weekly call, my cell number, contract review, attraction coaching. The one honest limitation is street-level local knowledge — I can read a contract with you anywhere, but I can't tell you which building in another state has a reserve problem. For most out-of-state agents that's a trade worth making, because what they're short of is a sponsor who actually picks up.
Only if you join the team, which is optional and Florida only. If you do, yes: TKG takes 5% of your gross commission on every transaction, starting with your first deal, for as long as you are on the team. It is not a post-cap fee and it does not expire. Against that you save $5,000 on the cap, and up to $600 a year in monthly fees (nothing, if you would have paid Epique annually at $99) — and for most producing agents the 5% is the bigger number, so the team costs more on cash than it saves. I would rather you read that here than discover it later. If you join Epique with me as your sponsor and do not join the team, no split of any kind comes to me from your commissions.
Fifteen minutes. You tell me what you're doing now and what's frustrating you. I ask about your volume, your pipeline, your cap position this year and what you're paying for. We run your real numbers. If it makes sense, we map the transition; if it doesn't, I say so and you've lost fifteen minutes. No deck, no second call with a closer.
